Transmission line at dusk
Transmission & distribution construction

One record of the line, from survey to restoration.

LineProTools tracks every structure through its real lifecycle, records sag and stringing as it happens, and produces the daily report from the work your crews already logged. Built to run on the ROW with no signal.

The problem

Line construction runs on spreadsheets that don't know about each other.

Sag charts in one workbook. Structure status in another. Reel footage on a clipboard. Daily reports retyped at night from photos of a notebook. When the owner asks what percent complete section 27 is, three people give three answers.

3 answers
Progress is a guess
Percent complete is negotiated in a meeting instead of derived from what crews finished.
retyped
Reports written twice
Quantities logged on paper at 4pm get retyped into a template at 9pm, minus the details.
orphaned
Records lose their structure
A renumber at IFC rev C strands pour cards, photos and sag sheets under the old number.
no signal
Tools assume coverage
Cloud-only software stops working exactly where the work is, so crews fall back to notebooks.
The platform

Modules that share one structure list

Every module writes to the same structures, spans and stations. Change a structure number once and the sag records, pour cards, photos and reports follow it.

Line Map Live
Every structure colored by lifecycle state, with ROW, access roads, crossings and environmental buffers on one plan view.
Structures Live
Attributes, spans, as-built GPS versus model, QA records, photos, material and full numbering history.
Sag Tools Live
Twelve sag methods with theodolite angle entry, stringing charts and pass/fail against required sag.
Conductor Reels Live
Footage on, pulled, scrapped and remaining per reel, reconciled nightly against pull records.
Daily Reports Live
Segmented by crew function, with weather go/no-go thresholds and quantities that roll into earned value.
Travelers & Crossings Beta
Traveler and guard structure logs tied to spans, with crossing permits and railroad flagging windows.
Permits & Environment Planned
Condition register with seasonal restrictions that block dispatch on affected structures automatically.
Land & Access Planned
Parcel status, landowner contacts, access agreements and gate combinations by tract.
Owner Portal Planned
Read-only progress map and S-curves for the owner and their engineer, from the same records.
Structure lifecycle

Percent complete stops being an opinion

A structure moves through fourteen states, each stamped by the crew that did the work. Earned value rolls up from the states — not from an estimate typed into a status meeting.

Surveyed Cleared Access built Drilled Poured Cured Assembled Set Framed Strung Sagged Clipped Punched Restored
Renumbering that doesn't lose history
When 142 becomes 142A at IFC rev C, every QA record, photo and sag sheet carries forward with an audit trail.
As-built GPS against the model
Designed versus as-built coordinates reconciled per structure, with tolerance flags before the sag crew arrives.
Photos tied to state, not folders
Geotagged pre-construction and current-state images attach to the structure and its lifecycle step.
Sag Tools

The sag calculator your crews already trust, connected to the record

Twelve methods — tangent, offset, level sighting, sightboard, clinometer, travelling wave, dynamometer and more. Enter theodolite angles in degrees, minutes and seconds. Get the target angle to set, or check a measured angle against the required sag from your stringing chart.

Angles entered as degrees, minutes and seconds — the way they read off the instrument
Sag mode gives the target angle to set; check mode solves sag from a measured angle
Imperial or metric, with creep allowance and presag hours in the required temperature

Designed for the place the work happens

The ROW has no bars. Crews get full read and write on the device — structures, sag records, quantities, photos — and the queue reconciles when coverage returns. Conflicts surface as a review, never a silent overwrite.

Full read and write offline
Not a cached view. Crews create records, quantities and photos with no connection.
Queue with visible state
Pending edits are counted and listed, so nobody wonders whether the record made it.
Conflicts reviewed, not overwritten
Two crews touching the same structure produce a review, resolved by the superintendent.
Cached tiles and drawings
Plan sheets, structure lists and map tiles pulled down before the crew leaves the yard.
